I launched The Philosophers' Magazine with Julian Baggini in 1997. It is now amongst the top two or three most widely read philosophy periodicals in the world. And its Internet site, TPM Online, of which I am the editor and designer, is one of the most popular philosophy web sites on the Internet, attracting some 50,000 visitors a week.

The Philosophers' Magazine has featured in its pages such luminaries as: Dan Dennett; Richard Dawkins; Michael Dummett; Peter Singer; Stuart Hampshire; E. O. Wilson; Hilary Putnam; John Searle; Roger Scruton; Helena Cronin; Robert Pirsig; and Mary Warnock.

During the period of its existence, TPM has expanded its activities beyond the magazine and web site. We have produced a CD-Rom, which has sold many thousands; a couple of books, one of which has sold out its print-run; we have featured extensively in the media, including BBC Television, BBC National Radio, BBC World Service, CBS, The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Arts and Letters Daily, and many others; and we publish a new journal, Think, on behalf of The Royal Institute of Philosophy.
